MAXIM

At this point this is more of a poem.  I just started it in the last hour and it needs a lot of work. 

In the dark I do not see
what's going on around me

In the dark there are no fears
no new losses
and no new tears

In the dark you can believe
that malice is gone
like sand through a sieve

In the dark I can let go
and I'm the only one to know

In the dark there is no judge
no calls to make
no paths to trudge

In the dark there is no sight
and so no fight
over who is wrong and who is right

In the dark the past has gone
tragedy has left
and the future rolls on and on

In the dark I can make a new light
and have a new start
